Enable Prints?

Fri Apr 4, 2008, 11:26 AM
I've been wondering more often lately if I should resubmit parts of my Gallery as prints. I'd like to think that some of my photographs are good enough that someone would pay money to have a copy of them, but I'm still not so sure.

Most of the reason that I take photographs in the first place is that I enjoy it and that the enjoyment I glean from the process helps keep me balanced and relieves stress. It's something I do just purely to be creative, not for the sake of any other ulterior reason (well, aside from people telling me I'm awesome. Everyone loves that). Because of this, I'm kind of reluctant to put my hobby up for sale, not just because of how I'd feel if NOBODY bought my prints, but because I don't really think it's right to put a price on my own happiness.

Despite this, I'd like to ask any of the various other artists and wanderers-by the following question:

Were I to make my photographs available as prints,

a) Would you personally be inclined to purchase one?
b) Do you feel that others would be inclined to purchase one?
c) Do you think my photographs, for their own sake, would be best-served by becoming available as prints?

Any thoughts you can drop me would be greatly appreciated. :)

(Woo on no Journal entry for over a year! XD)

It is a very unique gallery - I find some of the works unconventional and at the same time interesting. I like it ;)
